RESERVOIR MODELLING

Reservoir modeling involves the construction of a digital model of a petroleum reservoir, for fine-tuning the reserves estimation and decisions regarding the development of the field.

Reservoir models typically fall into two categories:

  1. Geological models, created by geologists and geophysicists, to provide a static description of the reservoir, prior to production.
  2. Reservoir simulation models, created by reservoir engineers, use finite difference methods to simulate the flow of fluids within the reservoir, over its production lifetime.

The variability in the true values of the reservoir properties is sometimes investigated by constructing multiple simulations of the sets of attribute values. The output from such models can then indicate the associated level of economic uncertainty.

We facilitate our customers throughout the complete modeling and estimation cycle of Basin/Reservoir modeling, along with expert consultancy services in various real time operational cycles and various in-house/partner resources to meet the customer needs.
